Saturday morning was coold and windy at the head of the lakes area however the fish did not mind. Many nice sized sauger and a 271/2″ eye (male). Sunday morning was a little more hospitable and the sauger cooperated. Or should I say were on a death wish. It is hard not to catch fish down there right now. Many sauger in the 17 to 20″ range. Used 1/4 oz stand up jigs w/ 5″ Kalins, however I think that just about anything works.
Maybe next time I will spend a little more time working for some eyes.
