I am going to be heading up to pool 4 this weekend and of course I will be launching out of Evert’s. What can I expect as far as boat traffic? I have never been up there in the fall. Just curious to know if it is usually bumper boats like in the spring. Thanks

You’ll have a fraction of the boats you see on a busy spring day. Lots of guys shootin’ stuff.

Oh yeah…. the fishing has been about as good as it gets.

I will be in a bright red Nitro 170 Rick Clunn Edition bass boat I have a sticker with my IDA handle on the driver’s side console.
I sure hope I don’t jinx you guys when I get there. It seems when I go to Pool 4 the bite shuts right off

    Mike,
I is still pretty crowded and is not a problem if everyone stays curteous and mindful of others.
the bite will be better early, and cools off by late morning. keep moving and trying different plastics. Dean will fully get you up to speed on what you will need to know.
    DON”T forget your camera…
    Good Luck..

I was down yesterday afternoon – we kept 5 nice fat keepers but my buddy didn’t land anything but a couple small cigar saugers. Ring worms worked for all of them. I probably should have stayed later in the day.

Mike, if it’s like last weekend, it was pretty easy fishing compared to spring. Good luck!!

Man I was working hard yesterday at Evert’s. Most of you guys saw the sweat on my brow while I was sitting in the chair.

I went out about 6:30 pm and there were just a few boats…maybe 6? By 7:30 pm I was all alone talking to myself.

No wind and great temps. No pics because my partner forgot to put a string on his finger.

If the bite today was any indication of what you’ll see this weekend you are in for a treat.
I went out today on kind of a scouting mission and fished areas that I haven’t had a chance to fish in a while. Everywhere I expected the walleyes and saugers to be, they were there….and they were hungry. I ended the day with somewhere between 30 and 40 legals. almost all of my fish were caught on plastics with purple chartreuse being the hot color and almost all of them were caught pitching current seams.
Here is a pic of a couple of the saugers I brought home for supper.
