Haven’t wet a line in over a month. Needless to say, I’m out of the loop as to what’s going on the river. Any reports would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Marv!
I’ve been out very little in the last couple months, but the fish I’ve found when I’ve had a couple hours are out on the end of the wing dams where there is some current.
A few saugers up by the dam, but I’ve not put very much time at all in up there.
Two weeks ago I did o.k. pitching ringworms to the outside 1/4 of wings on the upper part of the pool, as well as some well down stream. Not a lot of fish yet, but enough to make it worth while.
Good luck if you get out. Let us know how you do!

Thanks for the reply, John. I appreciate the info. Enclosed is picture of a local river angler at Tobin Lake 2 weeks ago. The group caught several 11s and several 12s.

Tobin Lake is a hydroelectric inpoundment (dammed up in the early 60’s) about 150 to 180 miles ne of Saskatoon Saskatchewan on the Saskatchewan River. It is a 23 hr drive from Clinton, Ia.. Late fall fishing, there, means some monster fish! Do a search for Tobin Lake Saskatchewan. Here are a couple websites:
