When fishing the Mississippi with spinner rigs on a 3-way what would be the choice for blade style and must have colors. I know there is probably no one answer but would appreciate some advice.

    Thanks Jeff

Colorado Blades in sizes 2 & 3 work best for me. Bright blades in orange, firetiger or a crayfish pattern will all work from time to time.

That said I’d suggest pull a small soft-bodied floater with a leech or half a crawler over a spinner rig 9 times out of 10.

Hey Jeff, I caught a 27 inch eye tonight on spinner rig it was a #2 colorado, orange with red beeds, I was pulling it upstream and drifting back down with the rig james described to you , on a rock runner . Basicly a real small bottom bouncer . using about 1/3 of a worm . as far as your question ,if your gonna make them yourself get a hand fullof a whole bunch of colors there dirt cheap. then just use the orange and green all the time. by the way iam back on dubuqe run on monday Ill buy lunch.
