Finally, the last couple of evenings have produced some eaters for both walleye and sauger while pulling cranks. It’s been a long summer without great success on the trolling bite. I’m seeing the water temp come down a little bit, the flow isn’t terrible (rain this weekend should help), days are getting shorter, comrons (sp?) are chasing baitfish in the middle of the channel, fall pattern is showing itself, vacation next week
Fish aren’t that picky (including sheephead, catfish and gar) on size (Rap 5’s and 7’s) or color (avoiding firetiger colors for me). Channel pulls down stream and tips of wingdams upstream seem to produce the most at a little quicker pace in 12 to 16 FOW. Took some pics of nice fish but the card reader is damaged so…sorry, no pic’s.
