I never fish the river.I like to find out what kind of bait fish run in the river. thanks for any help

The main bait fish in the river are gizzard shad. But, there are also about 20 species of minnows that are very common, also there are young-of-the-year commerical fish (redhorse, buffalo, suckers, freshwater drum, etc). So now you get the idea, the are lots of baitfish of different kinds out there, but gizzard shad have to be considered the one most preditor spcies key on.
