    The Miss on P10 has had several large bug hatches the past few nights and the shore line trees are full of them…

    River stage has been falling like someone pulled the plug out

    But this guy went out with his youngest daughter and found several bass willing to take an 1/8 precision jig with a paddletail…

    Jointed grappler shads…and #7 shad raps trolled in under 10 feet of water have been pulling some real nice walleyes and northern pike like this one

    I have spent about a quarter of the time fishing these past two years compared to my norm….so it’s nice to still be able to go out and search out locations and find fish…

    Malz and I went out early on Friday befoer the pleasure boats got out and pulled bass,northern and walleyes off wing dams…

    About 10:30 we pulled up to a beach and took a couple of pictures and let them go…Malz caught a nice 34inch pike !!

    After the release pix and several High Fives, we took a break and grilled up a couple of brats and then called it a day..

    Lots of PM’s from this post as I did not post the stats on the walleye…

    she was my biggest ever river walleye…measuring 30.5″ and weighing out at 10.14 lbs on my digital scale

    We just pulled out a copuple of northern pike from the same location and when this one hit she fought just like the previous two pike did…

    so…

    I thought it was a pike..northern pike that is

    but when she surfaced and I saw it was a walleye the excite~o~meter was elevated just a tad

    Beautiful eye dave!! I did the same thing this weekend had a slow weekend for bigger fish was catching small fish and PIG sheepies all day when i felt what i though another huge sheeper then all of a sudden she surfaced and panic mode set in trying to clear crap out of the net needless to say never got to tape the girl either easily over 26 inches…..
