Just curious if anyone knows if there is any water left in the back channel. I was hoping to get out for a bit this weekend and hit a couple spots while avoiding the crowds on the main channel and lake, but I am hearing the water is really low. I usually put the boat in at Colvil Park and head down river to the last cut and then up the back channel. Any help would be greatly appriciated. I run a 1850 Skeeter with a 175 Yam on the back that I would rather not destroy this weekend.

Isn’t to bad, gets a bit hairy if you try to go up past the high lines, very shallow in that area.

Thanks LittleFishy. I don’t plan on heading up that far.

You’ll be fine if coming up through 5th cut(fishermans cut). Once you get past the opening to Goose Lake things can get hairy if you don’t know where you are going

Thanks Dustin. That worked out just fine. I usually go that way, but have heard the water is really low right now. I am heading back out tonight.

Had to pull a boat off the sand bar in front/below the cabins yesterday. The first time I have been down the back channel in 3 weeks was yesterday. The area at the bottom end of the cabins has realy changed. I is almost impossible for me to explain how to get thru this area on the computer in a post. The couple I had to pull out were standing in water just above there ankles while trying to remove their boat from the sand. They were stuck darn near in the middle of the channel. My dad got stuck trying to get thru there on Saturday

On the upside……… fishing on upper pool 4 over the last couple of days has been really good. The water has cleaned up for now (until the big boats get it all messed up on the holiday weekend )and the walleyes are cooperating nicely on jigs and crawlers . I never tried trolling. No fish over 22″ for my boat on Sunday but the numbers of walleye were great
