Eyes were biting chartreuse & orange ringworms below the Ford dam lock yesterday afternoon/evening. The bite was consistent through the afternoon, picked up right at sundown, after that I couldn’t get them to hit. Fish showed a definate preference for a lift-glide-drop presentation. ok size, got 3 between 18″-20″ and many smaller. One minnow man also was out there, he caught some too but they were smaller including one that could not have been longer than six inches.

Thanks for the update Big Northern! Glad you had some good luck with this presentation as this can be deadly this time of year! How deep were you having your best luck?
I will be out there tommorrow!

Due to the constant 20 mph wind I stayed in the lee of the locks. It’s a pretty constant 10-12 feet in there- the fish were in the slack water but on the current side as opposed to the rip rap side. I was casting, they wanted a regular “drop to the bottom, lift, glide back down to the bottom, lift, repeat” presentation. Fish hit on the glide.
