Here is a fishing report from Mark Clements who owns the fishing barge in Genoa:

This is my first attempt at a sending out a report using a different=
program. I hope that it gets to everyone and you are able to read it well=
enough. If you have any suggestions I am all “eyes”. For the report, the=
fishing has been getting better and better every day. Several walleye from=
4 to 8 pounds have been caught and almost all of those fish were released. =
A big thank you to those fisherman or should I say sportsmen. There are=
also increasing numbers of walleye in the eating range being caught. =
Mainly on jigs with minnows, but a few on just minnows. I believe the=
purple, and the blue color jigs are working out the best. Many, many=
northern have been landed as well, not to mention a lot of lures have been=
bit off! A couple of northern were in the 12 to 14 pound range. It is=
nice to see some of these fish coming back up towards the dam. Some perch=
were caught as well as a lot of suckers, but remember, this time of year=
they are pretty good to eat. We fillet them, then run them through a meat=
grinder to get rid of the bones, make some patties out of them, some=
seasonings and you have a great fish sandwich. =20

Anyway, the water is in good shape and fishing keeps improving, so far it=
looks like a good spring ahead.
