Find a sand bar that sticks out of the water and has slope to deeper water. Pitch hair jigs dressed with a minnow to the shallow areas first and then the surrounding deeper water. Look for the current flow and let the water flow help direct you bait in the area. Any area with rocks and or sand right now should hold fish. Got a 10 lb walleye this week doing the above. Contact with the bottom is essential, do not use too heavy a hair jig, 3/8 oz tops, if jig will not touch bottom, move on, current is too swift and fish will not be present.
