    Hey Dustin,

It sure is fun reading your reports. On the power minnow, how are you working that ? Are you keeping it prety much motionless or are you popin it ?

    Keep up the great reports,

“Sauger boy here”, Steve and just think about all those good recommendations I have given your resort only to get labeled as the above mentioned curse word… Guess how many customers of mine will be staying at Evert Resort in the year to come? J/K

Those saugers are a life savers guiding on pool 4 when the shallow water walleye bite goes dead for me, so I gotta love um!

Dave, working those power minnows is just like vertical jigging a ringworm. Snap it up a couple of inches off the bottom and hold it for about 3 to 5 seconds then repeat the process. Those fish just inhale that thing.

Thanks for the great report! I’m sorry to hear the big piggies have slowed down. Sounds like warm weather for next week, so I’m guessing by Wednesday or Thursday we could see another spree of big fish days. Dustin, do you know what the water temp was? I’ll be out Sunday, so I’ll let you know how things go.

The water temps were in the lower 40’s, I had 43 for the day.

There has still been some good fish being caught every so often with all the boats out there every day. Steve at Everts seems to have at least 1 fish over the 25″ mark on a daily basis. It’s one of those blind squirrel finds a nut kind of deals. Some one always seems to find one

    Dustin,

I can’t wait to go out with you next Wednesday. If we catch nothing but a few sauger it will still beat work any day of the week. See ya Wednesday!

    Jeff
