Friday was one of the worst, no it was the worst day I’ve had since last October. Rain, snow, wind, and cold. All I could get were small fish. Started up by the dam made a couple of drifts down with jigs and plastics,3 small fish. Pulled 3-ways with minnows 5 small fish. Went downstream I could’nt scratch up anything. I did see a couple of nicer fish get caught. Here’s a pic of Doc with a 23″.

Saturday was a complete opposite of Friday. Started the morning up by the dam made a couple drifts with jigs and plastics, not much there. Switched over to minnows and the fish started to cooperate. Late morning we moved downstream and pulled 3-ways on a deeper sand flat. In 10 minutes we had 4 fish on only managed to land 2 of them, all 4 were nice fish. Had to pick someone up at Evert’s and went back to sand flat, things had slowed down, 1 fish in the next hour. My new partner wanted to check out the dam so we spent the rest of the day up there. Super Doos did the trick for us in the late afternoon.

Don’t be afraid to change up if what your using is’nt working. Also try some diffrent areas and structure, they don’t have to be that far away from where you are having bad luck. I will leave you with a nice eater taken by Schmiddty on a jig and minnow. Good Luck

    Kerry,
Just a little advice, you can catch more fish if you stay out of these…..
