I fished pool 9 today and the fishing was tough. Was on the water at 7:30am. Had my first bite at 9:00, lost him at the boat when I reached for the net about a 16-17″ fish. Second bite come at 11:30 a 16″ eater. Third bite came at 3:00 a nice 18″eater. With news like that I bet your all dying to know what they were hitting? Hair jig yellow head yellow/blue hair. I saw three other fish caught and they came on hair also. I tried everything I could come up with six different colored ringworms, four different doo’s and four different twister tail. I drugged a three way around. I did my part, the fish did want to work with me. The fish I caught and the three I saw all come out of 12-15′ of water. I didn’t make it to the dam but I heard they opened the rollers yesterday, there was a lot of ice comming down and the water was moving right along but I’ve caught fish in faster so I can’t blame that. I guess it just wasn’t my day but nontheless it was great to be out there.
Not great news but it give us something to read. Maybe my next post will be better news.
