Shore Fishing?

    I was wondering if there were any good shore fishing spots near Redwing/below the dam? Any help would be appreciated.

    fishing the shore near red wing would be very tough without a boat to get there…. my best suggestion to you is consider renting a boat from Steve at Everts, they are not horribly expensive… or a good alternate would be go to the trip swap forum and see about lining up someone to fish with.. there are lots of FTR guys heading out right now… and sometimes they have no one with them… bet they might let you come along… we have a lot of great guys here… and some of them have even let ME in the boat with them… that pretty much means they will fish with ANYONE!

    I’ve seen people by the dam fishing from shore but with security being as tight as it is around there you probably can’t get there. If you a set on shore fishing take a trip to the Alma Dam. They have a float they take you out to right below the dam and spring fishing from it can be fabulous.

    The float opens Saturday March 22nd….. .I would guess there will probably be some pigs caught off there this weekend..

    Flick is right on there is usually some good fishing on the float but if you are going now you best get there early due to how packed it gets.
