Check out Chappy’s cat…Looks like the dog is trying to figure out just what the heck it was! I am glad the cat did not go ballistic inside the boat, you know how dogs and cats are!

Thanks for landing the Kitty for me Tuck, Biggest fish of my life!!!!! I’m thankful the dog did’nt do what she usually does,Attack the fish!!!!I suppose she may be part chicken???

March 18, 2003 at 11:34 am #254846Tuck was estimating in the mid 40’s to 50#. He said it’s the biggest one he’s ever had in a boat. Caught it on my sons pole with 6# test.Unbelievable that 6# test could bring something like that off the bottom.
March 18, 2003 at 12:15 pm #254847sounds right to me!.. I use the hand in the mouth system…. you have two hands in the mouth easy… thats at least 40#… the one in the pic that I took from yesterday the guy only got one hand in the mouth… probably a 20#+ cat….

Nice fish Chappy. They sure are prehistoric looking when they break the surface for the first time during the fight!
Glad to see a pic of her. I boated one a couple years ago on 6lb test that went 44 inches long and weighed 43 lbs. I would say this one has a run in the that size as well.March 18, 2003 at 4:14 pm #254868I made a half hearted attempt to lay it next to a 30″ judge, and laughed! It was at least a dozen inches more than that! I estimated mid to upper 40’s. The girth was amazing! I have an over sized Beckman, and it more than filled it up!
