wow, what a nice day. as we pulled off the water at 4:30 the car thermometer said 69 degrees!!

the fishing on the other hand could have been a little better. we ended up with 9 fish for 3 guys over 8 hrs. a 22″, 20″, 17″, along with a few littler ones. the two bigger fish came from the dam area on chartruse ringworms. these were really fat fish, so they were realesed. all the others came from down stream aways on jigs and minnows.

there were a good number of boats out but nothing like redwing by the sound of it. there was plenty of room for everyone to fish.

we did see one 30″ that was caught. that thing was a beast.

one other note was that the warden was sittin at the ramp checking everyone as they came in. this was nice to see being that it was the first time i’ve ever been checked fishing. gotta keep all them poachers in line.

all in all, it was a good day to be on the water, even if the fishing was less then perfect.

yes jake yesterday was a great day, what boat were you in? not like it would help, but there were 100 of them at least, we were out for most of the day i caught 2 over 22 inches, that makes 10 fish for me over 22 inches in one week.

Pool 5 was definetly great for good quality walleyes this weekend. Look for an awsome display of walleye from all us from River Guiding Services. Oh yeah here is that 30″. This fish was not caught by us. The picture was only asked to be taken. Nice fish Seth. This one went or is going on the wall.

we were in a little green/tan boat. it wasn’t mine, it was my friends. it was the only boat i could get accses to this weekend. i’m pretty sure i saw jarrad out there. there were a lot of boats though to remember.

by the sounds of it, the big fish are out and about now, just waiting to be caught. sure hope i can hook up with a 8+ pounder this spring. i have yet to catch a walleye over 6 pounds. and thats with doing a lot of fishing. every where from LOTW, to the rainy river, to millacs, to the mighty mississippi. oh well, the day will come.
