My daughter and I got out for a morning of pitching pool 4 this morning. The fish were biting pretty well. We switch gears today and pitched mostly hair and minnows as opposed to the plastics I usually throw. The hot colors were Kelly green and Firetiger.
We caught walleyes along shoreline rubble and trees. We also caught saugers pithcing current breaks in 10-15 feet of water.

The best moment of the morning was when my daughter landed not only the biggest walleye of the day but the biggest of her life. It was a nice 25″er. I could not have been prouder of her. Her previous best was a 21″ Mille Lacs walleye.
I did not bring my camera with so we brought the fish back to Evert’s and Dean was kind enough to take a picture of it for us. Thanks again Dean. For some reason I cannot get the pic to scan into my computer so if Dean sees this post maybe he will post a pic.
On a side note, the white bass are biting well. We caught quite a few pitching sand.

Did I mention that Morgan gave me proper schooling today. she ended up with the two biggest of the day. That’s my girl!!!!

Thanks, Lenny. I’m probably going to get out on Sunday for the first time in a while and I’mtrying to decide where to launch! I hate to avoid Evert’s without good reason.
