I have a new lowrance 25X. I’m just curious what chip you guys recommend? Navionics or Lakemaster or some other chip.

I just got the Navionics chip, I haven’t used it on the water yet, but it looks like it has pretty good detail for pool 4.

I am sure there are people that will chime in with more on the water experience.

Navionics, just picked up the new one a few weeks ago. Has 8 times more lakes than their previous one. Had the lakemasters before this one. Both are good Navionics is little more detailed.

I’ve been running the navionics chip for the past year or so in my 332c. I think it provides a good general idea about depths. There are still some places where the map data would have me believe that I’m running over dry land (which I tend to avoid) but for the most part I’m happy with it.

Can’t wait for some one to come out, collect a new set of data and publish map data with 1 ft contours! Likely won’t happen, given the ever-changing nature of the riverine environment.
