Landed my first walleye of the year on pool 2 today. Don’t have a pic, but it was about 16 inches and i’m pretty stoaked about it.

    Let the season begin!

Congrats! I’m planning to spend the whole day down there tomorrow, any type of areas seem to be producing better than others? Did you see many other guys out fishing today?

    Atta boy, Ben!

On another subject I have a line on a spot where you might be able to sigh fish for carp on P2. They’re shallow enough to reach them with the FLY ROD in this spot. That would be a hoot! I’ll nail down the details and get back to you.

Thanks rootski, that would be great. That’s a great memory you got, that post was awhile ago.

Ya there were quite a few folks up towards the ford dam, where i was. Ringworms seem to do the trick, that’s what worked for me. And it seems that quite few IDAer’s are using them as well.

Ben, is that a steelhead or a looper in your avitar?

Congrats on the first of many!

It’s neither. I lived in Colorado for 5 years, and that is a 23inch rainbow landed on the South Platte River.

I sure do miss fishing the mountains!

Aha! That is why I was conflicted! It looks like a cross between the two!
    Very nice fish!!!
