Fished up river from maiden rock sunday on the wis. side. Big mayfly hatch going on. Fly’s were so thick on shore you could shave the trees and rocks. We saw fish hitting the mayfly caseings by shore. started casting and hit about 15-20 strippers. I had one pole over the side of the boat with a chartrouse crawler rig in the water maybe 1 foot tops with no bait on it. Guess what happen, a carp must of taken it pole and all before anyone could react. We saw carp hitting the surface so we fished them to, big carp alot of fun. One rod and reel (100.00) the look on my face when the pole went under (PRICELESS)) Still had fun but it sucked to be me when it happened. There are fish to be caught! JIM
