Went to Lynxville today and started out poorly. It was amatuer day on the ramp because I forgot to put the drain plug back in and almost sunk my boat! Anyway thanks to the guys who helped me out with getting it back on the trailer to drain it. Once I started fishing things happened pretty fast. Right away they started bangin’ the “cotton candy” BFT ringies. The fish were loving ’em. Most of the fish were 17-19″ males with a 3lb female walleye and a 3lb sauger for a bonus. They were released!! Everything was in 14-18 fow, but at 8:30 it just stopped. I noticed the current had changed and the guy at the float said they had just tweaked the rollers and everything had stopped. The bite was TOUGH! I did manage to pick up a couple more sauger on “Bucktail Wayne” kelly green and purple jigs but they were few and far between. Sorry I have no pics. Kinda hard when your by yourself. All in all was a good day, just wish the rollers weren’t such a factor. Does anyone have any tips of what to do when the rollers screw everything up?

I would suggest heading down river a ways and try fishing some wing dams, points, rip rap, sand flats, etc. I think there are always fish you can get into down river away from the crowds. You just have to do some exploring.

Thanks for the fishing report!! I have heard they are increasing the flow lately. I do not know why. I think they are lowing the pool to anticipate the snow melt farther north (opinion), but I do not know why they have increased the flow. I am afraid if this keeps up, the current will scatter the fish. That makes it harder to stay consistant, harder to fing them and just plain hard to fish.
