Does anybody throw cranks shallow real early or real late in the day on pools 9 or 10 this time of year. Secondly, does anyone troll with three-ways and cranks this time of year?

I don’t throw cranks much till the water temp is in the mid to upper 50’s, but that is not to say it would not be effective with a slow retrieve.
Three ways and stick baits are one of my favorite presentations this time of year. Suprisingly, there has been little talk of them. I believe last year there where quite a lot of posts and reports on this method. As water clarity decreases, I turn more and more to this method with rattling baits to attract fish. The numbers are not always there, but the quality of fish is generally quite a bit better on large stick baits.

    Thanks john,

I was thinking I would try trolling a few spots south of Genoa if the jig fishing slowed up. So far dragging jigs has been ok going .3 to .4 mph. I would stick with that speed with the cranks and see what happens.
