Any action been going on near BlackHawk Park? Heading up Sunday morning. Stopping in at Falling Rock to pick up the new hot colors of plastic. Keep the rod tip up whether on or off the water!

Picked up a few at the mouth pulling 3-ways and cranks at the mouth of minn slough. We got some lake shiners in today an last year those little shiney things worked well in tough bite conditions.I won’t be able to get out till next week but will keep my ears open at the bar.

    Good luck

Len, was the minn. slough open or still frozen? We always like to fish the big bend up by fish lake on the minn. slough. Just curious to know before we head up there sunday. Also just curious if the rollers were up at lynxville. If they are i am fishing north for sure. Don’t want to fish in the ice and the fast current.

The pool is clear and they should be putting the gates and rollers back to normal real soon but who knows. All of the ICE was gone when I went to work at 6pm.As far as I know it is open on the bend.

    Good Luck

Put in at blackhawk this morning at 8 am. Fished the minn. slough and victory. Left at 3 pm. Ended up catching alot of little saugers and eyes, threw back one that was 23 inches and kept 2 saugers and 2 eyes and one catfish. Orange and yellow 3 inch powerbait seemed to be the hot colors today. Alot of people getting ready for next weekends walleye tournament as well.

fished black hawk again today. 3 of us managed to catch between 60 to 70 eyes and saugers. mainly all small. Kept 8 saugers between 15 to 18 inches. Kept 6 catfish as well. Fish were in the 20 to 30 fow. Mainly were biting on 3 inch chart. and yellow powerbait. Tried a cotton candy and purple k grub but only managed 5 fish with them. Hopefully it will warm up so the big ones start getting hungry.
