Does anyone know if the ramps at Everts will be open for this weekend. I was thinking of doing a little fishing Saturday.

Wide Open! Talked to 2 boats today…first boats out all week. One got skunked….the other got 25-30 fish……10 over 15 inches with biggest being a 20 inch sauger. Hair Jigs and plastics. 20 feet of water near the dam.

hi Walleyeman, the ramps will not be any problem, temps will be in the mild side 20 to upper 20’s and 30’s on mon and tues. steve has been doing great on the ramps and with the temps moving in. the edges should stay also pretty clear. keep us posted if you go. am sure quite afew boats should be out this weekend, me I have to work so I may have to wait til mid next week. write back on your progress and good luck, take the camera for CPR. Jack..

A shot of what you are in for, 3 nice ramps side by side, with the resort in the background, lots of parking on the side.

Thanks Jon J. , appreciate the help. I’ll try this again and if it fails, go fishing and see the ramps in person.

Saturday was another good day of fishing. Not too many boats out though. Maybe 12-15. One group limited out on sauger and walleye by 920am. I saw they’re fish and they were all “nice” fish. Biggest going around 20 or so.. There isn’t a secret out there………jig and plastics or hair jigs and jig and minnows seem to be the best. Everybody seems to be fishing right near the dam. 18-25 feet of water seems to be producing the better fish. Lots of small ones coming from the deep water. Good Luck.

OOps, forgot to mention, this was taken just Before we got the first major snow, but not that long ago. Nice deep ramps, no hazards back there that shred props. I think I need to be there again….SOON…like this week.

Fished fri. 2 of us caught 50- 60 fish only took 7 home gotta let some get bigger. The best part of the day was as we were loading the boat a brood of turkey flew down from the hill to the land across that little feeder stream. Was pretty cool.

Life’s to short to fish with dead minnows! Jim

Stopped in at Everts today and YES the ramps are all open. Looked like about 15 boats were out at the time I stopped there by the looks of trailers there. Catch and release a few for me guys if you get out. Thanks, Bill

    hey Jake…
I hear ya.. your right.. after the weekend pounding.. it can be tough… Im preparing for a tough bite tommorrow… hope Im wrong though….
and OMFT…. were you fishing the deep water? just wondering…. 7 keepers out of 50-60 is what I hear the usual percentage is in the sauger hole… I stay away from that hole and last week when I was out I think my ratio was more like 5 to 1 with 15″+ over smaller fish….. and the smallest I caught was still probably over 14″ and the largest was 20″….. but I was mostly fishing 20′ and shallower… with most of my fish caught in 16’…. from what Ive heard this week the bite sounds a bit different… but maybe no one has been fishing the spot we caught a lot of our nice fish….. its one of the less pressured areas…..
