Walleye Sauger Contest Falling Rock Bar

    I know that this is not the proper spot but most of the people that call us get the info from it.

    We are having a ICE fishing contest to be held on Feb 8th
    starting at 7am-3pm.An entry fee of $5.00 . Pay back will
    be 100% Split 3-ways,Largest Walleye,Largest Sauger and
    Total stringer weight.You must sign up at the Bar before
    you fish.You can sign up the same day.
    hopefully this will take away a little bit of the winter
    blues.I will be taking people up to the dam and back.
    That means if you want to ride on the “LIMO” be there.
    WE WILL OPEN AT 6AM on that day.
    Lets GO Fishin!!!

    I was there this morning …but no ride

    maybe you can let us know when you are there to give rides and when your not….and how much you charge for rides , round trip…

    Went out this afternoon and checked the ICE conditions and they are great.Broke a new trail in the fresh snow also.

    Lawerence is sorry that he won’t be at the contest because his son is wrestling in the conf. championships and I don’t blame him a bit.He said that he would show up if he can on Saturday.Lets get out and fish!!!!!
    You can still sign up on the day of the contest stop by the Bar first.

    I really wanted to finally meet up with a some of you guys, but as Len said I found out tonight at about 6:15 that Brian is gonna move up to 275#s tommorrow,( Derek Pedretti a great kid and the normal varsity 275#er has been ill), and try to grab some points for the team in the conference tourney. He wasn’t expecting to wrestle this weekend so I was going to go down and help Len. He usually competes at 215# and weighs 204 right now. Brian’s fighting that sinus and chest congestion like so many folks right now but if he can crawl to the door he will go tommorrow. Lawrence.

    Had a good turn out fot the contest.45 people signed up and most of them made it.Put 32 miles on the ATV taking people up to the dam.

    Largest walleye 4.22

    Largest sauger 1.68

    Stringer weight 7.02

    Not a lot of fish caught but everyone seemed to have a good time.Thanks to all who participated.
