If you want to get some eating sized eyes and sauger there here. Was out on Wed and the two of us keeped 7 fish for the pan. They ranged from 15″ to 18″ 6 were sauger and 1 eye.
The ice is 8″+ around the dam area and the current is nice and slow.Today I will try setting some tip-ups in the false lock area, hopefully it will work.Last time I fished there a
1/4oz jig was easy to use.If you need a lift up to the dam stop by the “ROCK” and I’ll get you up there or bring your
ATV or snowmobile and follow the trail.Any questions give us a call.Lunch is also availiable if you place your order
before you go out and it will be hot.

Len, could you email me some specifics on what to bring, how much does it cost for a ride to the dam, etc? Might make it up this weekend or next. [email protected]

A #3 jigging Rap! Holy small lures Batman! I am used to fishing the #7 raps. I take it the current is almost non-existent down there. With the flow low @ the #7 dam I can get away w/ a #5, but a #3 I don’t know. I am trying to plan on coming down for your tourney on Feb 8. It looks like I may have to upgrade(or would that be downgrade?) my lure collection. Anything else you might recommend for a jaunt down to your area? Thanks.

You are sure that is good ice, Right?? Read the sign behind the guy!! Is he 150 feet away? I think you should push out a John Boat and sit in the boat and fish through the ice. Good Luck!! I will watch from here – keep sending in the pics.

Thanks for posting the pick Len. I told the guys at work they wouldn’t believe where I was standing. My Dad and I had a great time over there. We brought home 6 keeper sauger but caught a bunch of small ones. I had the best luck with a buckshot spoon tipped with half a minnow. I am looking forward to Saturday. See ya there!J.D.
    P.S. Great chili too.
