Dodge Boy and I headed out to Dresbach early this morning and were the first ones out on the river. Dodge Boy pulled up two keeper walleyes and few nice perch before I landed my first fish Fishing was a little slow, but we were catching enough to keep us interested. Around noon AmWatson came and joined us and we headed out to deeper water. We pulled in a few nice keeper saugers and I also pulled in a little kitty. The weather was great this morning with no wind, but when the sun went under it was cold and windy

Dodge and Wats it was good to meet the both of you

Had a great time fishing with ya, let’s just hope the bite is better next time we get out. The bite was tough today with all fish coming on meat, hook and sinker dragged along the bottom.

Those perch are alot smaller then the ones we got thur. I just throw the transducer over the edge of the boat and turn on the vex. Works great since I don’t have all the batteries in the boat that run the front trolling motor and electronics.

hmm…interesting. I guess that will be a temperary fix for my marcum until i can come up with 80 bucks for a transom ducer. What do you catch the perch on and are you catching them on accident? either way, the gut on the far right one is still nothing short of amazing!

The vex will read right through the boat if you have alittle water in the back. We are targeting perch and eyes. When things slow down we go chase saugers since we all know where they are.;) I has 2 on thur that went 13 1/2 and 14 1/4

Cade-We have been targeting the perch. Dodge Boy has them dialed in pretty good, only the big ones bite on his lines and I play clean-up with the little ones
It was nice meeting and fishing with you J_ERICKS
The gut on almost all the fish today that I saw were bulging They are definitely in great shape this year. Dragging live bait seems to be the only thing we have had success on the last couple times

I used to do the same thing in a buddies boat on th eMissouir Rive rin Bismark. I would run the front trolling motor, but he had no elecctronics up front. I would just flip my Ice Ducer over the side and would be able to hold the boat on the break I wanted. I got to the poitn my brother and buddy would get pissed cause I would hold me right on the break and they would be in the back of the boat and would not be on the break. I used to slam those guys fishing.

How many of the Walleye and Sauger had spawn in them; just curious because we have released a few this late that did have spawn in them.

Almost all of them have spawn in them. And there guts have been loaded with 3 and 4 inch shad. I am amazed at how these fish can have 3 minnows in them that big and still be hungry.
