After reading some posts I got really excited to hit the open water after not having much luck Ice fishing on Mile Lacs.If you see a confused looking, dark haired, cold individual bumbling around by himself in a red 1600 Lund alaskan, that would be me and feel free to offer angling advice because if I don’t come home with some fish the wife will think I went to the watering hole instead of the water. Please stop and say hi as I may need help getting the boat running,as I have 4 dead batteries and probobly old stale gas.Does anyone know if you can add Heat(isopropyl) to the gas ,I have a Honda 4 stroke, how about Sea Foam? Kevin Dobbs. By the way I will have an open seat.I should be there about 10Am.

I’ll be down there both days this weekend Kevin. Green crestliner with Johnson 115 on the back. Probably won’t get down on Saturday until around 11 or so…gotta give it a chance to warm up, just a little . Give me a wave or stop on over…I’ll be happy to let you know what’s working (or not working ) for me. -Jason

I run a 40 Yamaha 4 stroke in Winter and have had trouble with the idle jet in the middle carb. My mechanic tells me the jet has a hole smaller than the dot left by a ball point pen on a paper..and therefore, he insists I run lots of sea foam and Stabil as well. It appears that is solving the problem for me (maybe I should use it more….sounds like a good excuse to fish more)

I’ve had trouble with the carb float sticking on my 15hp Yamaha 4 stroke, especialy in the spring after storage. Sea Foam seems to eliminate that problem for me.
