I’m sure everyone with the ‘itch’ has seen the forecast for this weekend!

Saturday – Mostly cloudy. Winds from the WNW at 2 mph. High: 37° F

It will feel like April out there! I’m on the water tomorrow. If I can get back here in time I’ll post a Friday Night Fishing report for those headed over Saturday AM. In talking with Dean at Everts today he said most everyone is catching fish and the river’s in excellent shape!

I will be there Almost wish the weather was a little worse to keep a few people off the water.

Good luck to everybody, and if you see a silver alumacraft, give a wave.

My truck is awaiting a new fuel pump–if I get that in, I will be out on the river tomorrow.

I am thinking about heading down there Sat. Don’t fish down there much, any recommendations where to put in (either pool 3 or 4)

Go to Evert’s at P4. Dean will put you in the right direction.

How about a quick noon report?!

I had to come off the water to deal with some call-backs I owed people so I’m here at the resort using Dean’s computer at Everts after a morning on the river.

The best bite so far, hands down, has been on Super Doos. Ringies and Paddletails have been slow but we’re able to consistently catch fish hovering chartreuse pepper, pro blue and silver glitter doos. 25′ of water, + or – a foot or 2, has been the best.

The afternoon bite has been good the last 3 – 4 days so we’ll fish Doos until 3 PM or so and then hit the shallows!

    Yahoo!!
Thanks for the update James. I’ll be on the water also, although I might have a tough time tearing my “clients” away from the saugers to hit the shallows . Oh well, might have time for the evening pitch after I drop them off.

Any word on the early am bite?
    Thanks,
    Chris

We had a few fish dragging the shallows in the morning on Wednesday, but the afternoon bite was much much better!

I haven’t talked to anyone fishing a 3-way… the jig bite is WAY too good right now.

Many of you guys know Kerry “Hawg” Harvey from the site. I talked to him at the end of the day and he reports catching 114 fish today. He uses a golf stroke counter so the count is accurate. Everything came on super doos as I reported earlier.

We did get into some nice sauger and walleye in the late afternoon dragging in 10′ – 15′ but the mid-day vertical jigging bite was MUCH better.

Stop by the resort to get the latest from Dean or look for Hawg on the water.

Hawg with 114!!! Damn, I should have fished with you instead of the clowns I brought down. I was able to fish on Friday afternoon as well as saturday morning. Ran into Tuck, James, Hawg, AlivnMack in “Shallow Minded”, I think I even saw Dustin pitching jigs.

Nothing to add to the reports above, I have a couple of picts to add tomorrow, forgot the camera in the boat. Big fish of the weekend again came to my buddy Putz a 20.2″ saug dog that was CPR’D.
