Getting geared up for spring, what is everyone’s favorite or go to color for ringworms?

Water clarity, sunlight and other factors influence my favirite color on a given day.

On sunnier days, bright colors (chartruse, orange, etc) seem to be the ticket. On cloudy days, natural/dark/neutral colors seem to work better.

Beyond that, it becomes a trial and error…if you can fish two poles and hang different colors to see what the fish prefer. If you have a partner, you can experiment a bit more.

Thanks for the post, I know that different colors have their places at various times. What I was looking for from people was their favorites. Pumpkin pepper, chartreuse, purple, purple w/white tail, etc. For every “light” color and every “dark” color there are many choices. I have a lot of colors, but wanted to know which new ones to add.

My favorites are chartreuse pepper, catalpa orange, firecracker, oystershell, and bubblegum. Although I have quite a few other colors these are my main producers.

I would also add pro blue to that color list. Ihave just about all the colors and don’t think there is a one I haven’t caught fish on. Good luck.

Firecracker, oystershell, pro-blue, chartreuse pepper, chartreuse/green core and purple/chartreuse tail are colors a guy can not fish with out. The above colors get more water time than any others in my boat and for good reason, they work

On the Wisconsin River, catalpa orange / chartreuse tail has been my most productive color two years running, hands down. Nothing else has come anywhere close for both size and numbers. Chartreuse / green core, purple white tail, chartreuse pepper, pro blue, and oystershell have also had there days, but I still lean towards the catalpa / chart tail. Maybe it has to do with the brown colored water, but that color kicks butt.
