    What a day. Played hooky from work today. Went fishing on the Illinois River by Starved Rock. It was well worth taking the day off. My friend and I (who I also talked into playing hooky with me)limited out in 1 1/2 hours of fishing. They were all very chunky fish. My best was a fat 22in. 4.75 pounder. The water was low, but nice and clean. We plan on going again this weekend. By the way I stopped to have the film developed. Pictures soon.

    Can’t wait to see the pics! I have never fished that area but have heard it is a great sauger fishery. Sounds like you found a good bunch of them. WOW, 4 plus pound sauger is awesome!
