Pool 2

I want to start fishing the mississippi open water but need directions to the best acess point for pool 2 near 494 bridge. Also good area bait store. Thanks for any info.

Get off on the hardman exit and head north. The road to the landing is on the north side of the freeway. This will take you back under the bridge to the parking lot. From there you head up over the dike to the landing. There is a bait shop on the other side of the river from the landing not to far away. Some one else will need to explain where it is at.

For bait-from 494 go south on Highway 61 and get in the left lane. Take a left at the 1st stoplight and go right on the frontage road. Go down about 1/2 mile and the Schorns (sp?) bait will be in the strip mall on the left. It doesnt face the road (it faces south)-so look for the small bait sign on the side of the road.

Thanks for the info. guys it will come in handy during march and April when I realy get the fishing bug as the rest of the State is closed for the spawning season.
