Fishing was great…catching was OK. I broke in a new rod (xmas present) so that is my excuse for missing a ton of fish. We probably landed 20 for 2 guys in just over 3 hours with the biggest at just over 21. Saw Mike W’s partner land a 23″ and heard of another boat getting a 28″ when we met at the landing.

Weather and conditions were fantastic. Saw Jon and Dino out there too. Good times!

DaveB-I was down there also on Sat. We had the golden retriever with us and we talked to you when we both left at the same time. We did about the same as you, 25 fish-19″ saugs and eyes biggest. Fished about 3 hours also. I drove by there today and there was no ice that I could see from the bridge, that would have been nice yesterday! Going to Mille Lacs tomorrow so I don’t know when I’ll get back down. See you later.

It was a good day on the water. My partner drove down from Aitkin to spend his first day on pool 2. I was glad to see him bring that 23″ eye. Most fish we caught today where between 15″ and 20″. I think we where pretty close to the 20 mark also. Found most of the fish out in the main channel.
A white glowing ring worm was the most active today. Went thru alot of other colors with little action. Even tryed other glow plastics with little action. Switched over to darker plactics right before dark to boat a few more fish. This is the third trip I have made where light colors are hot during the day and then shut down right before dark.
    Still no minnows today.
