This pic comes out to us from Rob “predator2” Stevens and is a bit of a follow-up on a recent post on how to identify a saugeye vs. a sauger or a walleye. This particular fish was caught on a 3-way/stickbait if I recall the tale correctly.
Notice the dots on the tail fin as well as the barred marks on the sides which are characterists of a sauger. Clearly not a walleye. Clearly WAY too big to be a sauger. Not too many out there this big swimming around that’s for sure. I believe the state record is right around 10 Lbs. Awesome fish Rob and thanks for sharing it with us.
If anyone else has a photo or two they’d like to share with us here at FTR, simply send the photo out as a .jpg attachment in an e-mail to [email protected] and we’ll gladly get that posted here just as quickly as we can.
