When I drove home over the 35E bridge yesterday the river was full of broken up ice just below the confluence. Is the river freezing up already or do you think that it was a harbor breaking up some ice? It was too much to have made by boat wakes.

Hopefully it was a mairna or slackwater bay that let loose. At any point, I see the forcast for early next week and we are expecting lows in the single digits. This will create ice on the middle of Pool 2.
It may be close to putting the summer boat away and digging out the winter beater!! ARRRGGH! 
Ohhhh Mannnn. I’m not ready for this time of year!
