thought I’d take a moment a send a quick note. got to Evertt’s around 1:30p, was good to see Steve again. the bait shop is looking great. headed up to dam, stayed away from minnows and used ringworms and hair jig during the late afternoon. caught fish but nothing great. also tried 3 waying cranks, got a 17 Sauger right away, and had another one on that got off. crank was a 3″ firetiger minnow. late afternoon evening started to pitch Kalin’s at shoreline and some wingdams. landed Walleyes of 25″,23,22,21,21,21,21 and some smaller fish, with few Sauger mixed in. even in total darkness and no ambiant light, still caught 3 walleyes, two of which were 18’s. For a short time, did have a fish or strike for about 5 casts in a row. pretty good time. I see I need to change some of my work plans for the next couple of weeks, which after this evening doesn’t seem to so important anymore. see you on the water. Jack.
