Tried posting a report on the main page but for some reason It wouldn’t let me so I figured I would give you the heads up on here.

This past weekend I had the Pleasure of fishing with EFN Prostaffer Brett King. and the fishing was good. The fishing has Picked up alot in the last two weeks and with the water temps dropping the fishing will get even better.

The Bite near the dam is going right now alot of boats but enough fish for everyone. look for the fish to be in shallow water now as most of the fish being caught up there are mainly walleyes with a sauger here and there. the best depths for us was 8-12ft and with all the boats fishing deeper it made for real easy drifts.

Verticle Jigging was ticket for us Bucktails tipped with Minnows caught alot of fish but the bigger fish were Slamming #5 Salmo Chubby Darters and of Course Neon Ringworms as shown in the attachment Brett was Jigging Ringworms and Chubby Darters nearly all day, not catching as many fish but the size was alot better. but becareful when the walleyes are hitting the Ringworms watch out. they slam the hell out it. I watched Brett hook into the Sauger in the attachment and was it ever funny he hit that Ringworm and instantly he took off. When those ringworms are hot hold on to your rod. but Jigging the Salmo Chubby Darters were a close second Brett Put on of them on and bam fish after fish I think he caught 4 fish to my one.

The trolling bite has also picked up, Trolling 3-ways with Stickbaits or live bait has been putting some decent fish in the boat just target the same areas Trolling as you would Jigging. I have also heard reports of some better fish coming down river casting ringworms and bucktails to shallow rip rap shorelines. so that will be what I target next time down so look for a report on that soon.

    Nice report Nate,

I will add that just about anything will catch fish at this time. I have been going every 2-3 days and have been experimenting with different presentations. Live bait trolled upstream, or on a jig/plain hook has put the most numbers in the boat. But sonars, hair jigs and various plastics work almost as well. On Tuesday, any kind of plastic on a jig worked very well.
