Columbia River report

    Thought you guys might like a little update from out west. I fished the full moon for three nights. My partner and I caught 3 fish right at 10 lbs. about 30″ long or so. Several fish from 24-28″ and a couple of eaters. I missed a big one somewhere in the teens. Oh yeah, also caught a steelhead 24″. All but two eaters were released. I can’t wait for the October full moon. My buddy from Wisconsin is flying out for a week! We will be howling at the full moon! yee haw!

    Hey, Dan,
    I know it’s a ways away, but I’m heading out to Oregon next week to try the Siuslaw River with my dad. We’re hoping for some salmon, but may try for other varieties. Do you know anything about the fishing in that area? The river system in the Florence area is incredible, but sure seems different from the ones here in Minnesota.

    Thanks Dan for sending along the great pictures, I’ve heard 10’s are quite common, sounds like a Portland trip would be in order. am looking forward to some teen pics (fish of course). Jack.
