it has been some time on pool 4 ,but we got out for a few hrs. today. it was a slow day for us,we started at the head of the lake trollin shad raps .with a no go to show for that ,i saw a boat net a fish pullin 3/ways and plugs. so after a fast change to 3/ways we were on our way.
ended up with 2 sauggys,1eye, and 1 sheepy for the day.not a good bite but sure beats sittin at home watchin it rain hail and blow like there is no tomarrow.
the posts have been kind of slow ,lots of turnys. i know but any one that was out this wk. end like to say how they found the bite?
i got two boys in ball so getting out for me now is kind of hard ,but i get my fix from reading about it .thanks ,and good luck.

I thought I recognized you out there. That was Nubbinbuck and I netting the wally in the back channel. It was a pretty slow day for us too.

PFLUGGY, I took number 2 son out Sunday. We had a fair day on numbers but not much for size. Our biggest fish was 18″ and we only had 5 legals. We worked sand flats most of the day with 3-ways and crawlers.

The bite was slow for over all numbers of quality fish but the little walleye’s (8″ to 14″) kept the action going.Fished with 2 other guys, ended the day with a 2 man limit of eye’s with 3 fish in the 21″-22″ range along with one fish weighing short of 7lbs. Most of our eaters were in the 15.5″ to 18″ class

Only took 4 keeper fish on 3-ways and bait. CD5 Wally divers, #5 and #7 shad raps took the rest of our fish. Anything with orange on it seemed to see the best results. Best depths were 4′ to 7′ of water on the trolling bite and 9′-12′ on the 3 ways.

All in all the fishing is not what it should be right now. Once we get a period of warmer days the fish should be on the chew more consitantly. Can’t wait for that

Forgot to add that I found a baby duck on Sunday, and rescued it from the likes of that Evil hunter down in Winona… I think Gator may have a pic of the cutie.

As long as you keep it in your house, it’ll be safe
