This weekend we fished pool 10. On Saturday we fished for about an hour before it started raining and hit a couple of wingdams caught 1 24in walleye. There seemed to still be a lot of current going over them and water clarity was good. Sunday fished some wingdams and some cuts and caught a 17in, a 27in walleye, and a couple small sauger/walleye. Only one small sauger came from a wingdam. We were trolling and trowing cranks. My guess is the wingdams should heat up this weekend.

I fished friday night and saturday morning. Ended up with 4 walleyes, 2@17″, one 20″, and one 21″ fish. Tough weather and rising muddy water had the bite a little off. 6-10’were the magic depth to troll #5 shad raps.

I have been out and around PdC and pulling legal fish in the back sloughs either on cranks or 3-ways and live bait..depending on their moods…nothing big at all… 20″….Water is high and dirty…looks like it will take some time to settle down with more rain coming…

Thanks Dave, I’ll give it a week to settle and I’ll be up next friday afternoon into saturday. Hopefully things pick up a little.

I put the hurt on the smallies yesterday…I was pitchin paddletails and light precision jigs into current breaks along the rocks…I must have caught 20 or so smallies and a dozen or so walleyes and saugers….Nothing huge…biggest smallie was 15″ or so and the walleyes faired larger than the saugers at around 16-17″

All in all , a ton of fun !!

And to think I was just out testing out props for my new motor !!
