I’m 15 years old me and my older brother (160 just got a boat. I plan on fishing pool 2 quite a bit since it is close. I plan on fishing for walleyes, it seems like trolling cranks and jigging is pretty good for walleye in the summer. I been reading alot of posts about pool 2 and would like to try fishing wingdams, What part of pool 2 are wingdams are you fishing?

The productive wing dam fish you read about here starts near the airport in downtown St Paul and continues downstream all the way to the dam at Hastings.

Thanks,So what boat launch do you usually use when you go fish wingdams, 494? Also When do people usually start pulling cranks?

494 landing is a good one to get close to the wingdams. First dam starts just about 100′ down river of the landing.

Last year I was pulling cranks the 1st week in may. Dragging mostly rip rap at that time. There was also some decent fish hitting cranks on the wingdams at that time also. Do a search of last years post and you will see some of those nice fish and the dates they where caught.
