Dubuque rigs.

    Please explain to me what the Dubuque 3 way rig is?

    A Dubuque Rig is a 3-way with a drop jig and plastic on your long line instead of live bait. At least that is how I have seen drawings done of them. I live in Dubuque and I’m really not certain what the real difference is between a 3-way rig and a Dubuque Rig other than what you put on your trailer hook. Most drawings I have seen show a twister tail on the long line hook although I am sure any plastic would work. I have used both twister tails and sassy shad and they both work.

    How big is a “rig” in Dubuque?????
    Can you fit them under each arm???

    A Dubuque Rig is the same rig as a regular 3-way Rig (EXCEPT)on the dropper end there is a Big enough jig to make contact on the bottom,now you have 2 options for the fish to take instead of just 1 with a sinker.
