I have an interesting story/question concerning Lynxville. We put the boat in at the Gordon’s Bay landing, across from Falling Rock, at approximately 730am on Sunday. The parking lot was full already, so where to park? The obvious choice was the single car parking area south of the main lot. I, along with many others backed the trailer on the grass area with the truck on the hard surfacing – no damage done. When we got back to the landing to leave, we found a note on our windshield saying this was single car parking only. All of the vehicles appeared to have this. Not sure where this note came from, as it was handwritten. I hope it was no more than a joke, as where could a person have possibly parked a truck and trailer with that many people using the landing. I did notice where someone had parked off the entrance lane closer to the railroad tracks and made deep ruts through the mud, probably an allowable parking spot. I suppose next time I will have to park there and track mud all over the area if we can’t park in the open and unused single car parking. I have no problem paying the ramp fee, but there better be adequate parking without harrassment. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
