The official due date was Thursday a week ago; it came and went with little fanfare. My wife Lori was as cranky as ever, she was getting tied of being a beachball!

Monday night, after supper, I was taking the trash out and feeding the dog; when I came into the house, momma said it was time to roll. We got to the hospital at 8:15 and he was out by 9:50, I guess he really wanted his birthday to be in February! 8#-2oz., 21″ A keeper, I’d say…

I suppose it’ll be a few year more years b4 he joins dad, older brothers Joe (6) and Dominic (3) on pools 9-16. I can’t wait!

    Regards,

    Joe

As part of the whole baby being born thing, I promised my wife I’d lose the winter beard! So, next time you guys see me, the “badger” clinging to my face has been released…a sure sign of Spring!

Congrats Joe and family! Enjoy it as you know it goes so fast! I was wondering if it was time, didn’t hear from you this week, the wife asked me if you had your baby yet last night and I hadn’t heard yet. I’ll scope out a few honey holes tomorrow for you and hopefully give you a good post.

Congratulations Joe!!! My wife and I will be just behind you in the baby line, as she’s due in just 2 weeks. It’ll be our first, and either way, I’m dreaming of taking us all out on the ol’ Miss. Give me a ring/pm when you get a day this spring and will have to hit the wings! Congrats again!

    Congrat Joe,

I know what you mean as I sit here typing while my wife is hoping for the run to the hopital sometime this weekend. She was due on the 3rd. (So mind if I cut in line Skyguy ) It would be nice for our little one to show up soon. I am missing out on some great brown trout fishing on Lake Michigan not to mention walleye prep on the Rock River.

I guess we have to have priorities!

Congrats to you Joe and Skyguy may your child arrive safe and happy

Hello and Congratulation!, Joe and MOSTLY Lori ,
Sounds like everyone is doing fine… Lori looks pleased and relieved at the same time. Xaiver looks like he is trying to decide if he should throw a ringworm or start with a deep diver. I also have three boys and they do grow up fast! Joe if you get a day off mid-week,you can PM me and maybe we could give those eyes a chase.
    AGAIN, CONGRATS!!!
    Tight lines,
    Noel

I must say, I am a bit overwhelmed at everyone’s warmth and friendship. You guys are awesome!

Good luck you guys with the pregnant wives…as Red Green says, “We’re all in this together, I’m pullin’ for ya!” I’m not sure if that’s the exact quote, but something to that effect.

A few days after those babies drop, you guys will join me as members of the insomniacs association, with full voting rights and privledges! As I sit here typing this, Xavy’s tummy is starting to rumble and my wife is getting to that point where she’s just about to throw the baby at me. We’ve just crossed midnight, so the fun is just beginning! Good thing she pumped earlier this evening, I better get off here and warm him a bottle so she can get some rest. Mommy is much more pleasant after she gets some sleep…

See what fun you guys have to look forward to?

I’ll be getting out on the river sometime in the next month or so, so don’t catch ’em all!

    Regards,

    Joe

Congrats Joe! One more in the Ice shack at PC, you’ll be crowded on there! My fiance is looking at your pictures and trying to push a wedding date on me! I’d say no, but I wish I had somebody to corrupt just like Big B!

    Congrats, that’s a beautiful baby!

Wedding dates…man, its hard to believe this coming October it will be 10 years for us. Time sure does fly!

You know, when it comes time for you to get into that “corrupting”, it won’t just be you, I suspect Big B will have as much or more a hand in in it!

    Regards,

    Joe

    Hey Kornking,

I’m feelin what ya said earlier buddy!! I remember what it’s like having a grumpy wife after childbirth. I still get a refresher once in awhile.

I’m teaching my son now the old saying, “If momma ain’t happy , nobody is happy!” It’s soooo true.

Anyway, good luck to you and your family!

    Awesome news Joe! Congrats!
Those little people are absolutely the best thing in the world! Mine is only 2-1/2 years old now and it seemed like yesterday that we were in the hospital having him!
