3 Ways & Sticks…

    I’m looking for some suggestions for setting up 3 way rigs w/ stickbaits. I had some great luck late last fall pulling clown shad raps on a 3 way rig… they seemed to like the profile better. In that situation I ran the dropper for both the weight and the Rap about the same length. I haven’t found the right mojo for the equation w/ stickbaits yet, though, haven’t fished them enough to gain confidence. Any input would be appreciated.

    James;

    How long of a leader do you typically run on your 3-ways???

    For bait on floating heads I run 3′ – 6+’. Shorter leaders around real sticky cover and longer in low flows or when the bite is a little touchy.

    Cranks are in the 5′ – 6′ depending on the baits being pulled.
