Travel south on Mississippi for fun with wife and Friends.

Looking to start at LaCrosse and go down to Debueqe or Prarrie Dushane (spelling) any ideas as to whereto stay etc

Check out goose island campground by lacrosse but if was you i would stay at blackhawk parkits about half way and right on the river the rates are very resonable they two ramps beach showers small playground and a little store called Milans candy, bait, and other stuff. Its and army corps of engineers park If I had the number I would give it to you but its at home. The campground is between genoa and desoto. I worked there a few years back. I still go there every year hope this helps.

If your staying on your boat and want to stay in the Prairie du Chien area call the Winneshiek by marine radio they have slips and a camp ground. There is a Bar right on the river with light food/grill items . And accross the street is the Barn Resturant , way good food there.

There is also a very nice marina in Dubuque. I’m not sure the name right off hand but the motels will pick you up there, if a motel is what your looking for.

I’d bet the motels would pick you up at the Winni also.

There is also the Casino in Marquette Ia. They have a marina to dock the boat. From here you can use the Casino, get a room, eat at there buffet.
