Some one asked recently what the return of the high water will do to the fishing. I have been fishing the back waters quite a bit lately. A few nice fish, lots under 15, one 6 1/2 lb. Personally I was hoping for a little “high water”. Will see tonite or in morning! What do think the little rise will do? I fish around Redwing area.

When I use to live south of Lacrosse, pool 9 Genoa area, when the water would get high I would troll aganist the current with different current in the back waters if this didn’t work I would tie off to a tree in the flooded timber and vertical jig right in the downed trees it seemed to work the best. A jig head and plastic body I had to try many different bodies but the best was a yellow jig head and a green shartruse (sp) body. Hope it helps.
