question about crankbait rods.

    just wondering what you guys that throw alot of cranks look for in a good crankbait rod. i’m looking for a casting setup, for mid – to large size cranks, i have the avid AC70MM, and the avid AC70MHM in mind……am i even close?.

    any help would be appriciated.

    I like the AC70MHM for the larger and deeper cranks these put a lot more vibration back through the rod and this seems to handle it better the AC70MM, definetly want the moderate tip of this type rod or even the Premier, I think the glass St Croix are a little soft for these larger baits my 2 cents

    yeah i will be using it for big lipped ( DT raps ) and heavier cranks ( rattlin’ raps ). that would justify the AC70MHM then ?.
