Nobody likes the weatherman, but I have to speak up today about the storm coming up tuesday, and lasting through thursday am. It will bring rain and snow, with some impressive snows falling over IA and WI, but for us outdoor folks along pools 19 through 10 (and farther north), the big factor will be wind and cold. Simply, don’t go out on the water Wednesday, the winds will be north around 35mph with gusts around 50. That, and temps will be crashing down into the 20s during the day, accompanied by snow showers. The winds will last in the 20 to 35mph range through thursday morning as temps fall into the lower to mid teens. If folks want colder waters, you’re in luck, the cold snap will last for around a week I think.
Tight lines, but from fish on the end, not because you fished in the freezing weather wednesday and thursday!
